Chess: The Musical | January 2020

Theatre and music students from the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music travelled to Malaysia to participate in this joint production with the Bentley Music Academy.

Bells are Ringing | June 2019

Bells are Ringing is a 1956 musical with a book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green with music by Jule Styne. The story follows Ella who works for an answering service, and the people she meets through that.

Choices | 2018, 2019, 2020

Choices is an applied theatre project that students at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music partake in as a partnership with the Queensland Police. The show travels to schools around the Mackay and Whitsunday region performing to Grade 12 students about the dangers of alcohol, drugs and teaching them about laws that affect young people.

Mr Burns: A Post Electric Play | 2019

Mr Burns: A Post Electric Play was presented by the theatre students at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music in late September of 2019. It was written by playwright Anne Washburn in response to 9/11, and feature music by Michael Friedman. The plot follows 7 strangers who are brought together by an apocalyptic event that changes the world. The only thing they have in common is their memories of popular culture, most specifically, The Simpsons.

It Shoulda Been You | 2022

It Shoula Been You is a 2011 musical about two comically different families coming together through marriage. Phoenix Ensemble's production marked the Queensland premiere of the show.

The Abadon Burlesque Show: My Bloody Valentine | 2023

Devised and created by Brisbane - based actor, director and producer Liam Donelly. Choreography by Tayla Simpson. This caberet style burlesque performance featured a mixture of the finest creatures and characters of the horror genre.

Avenue Q | 2023

Avenue Q is a 2003 musical with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx with a book written by Jeff Whitty. The story follows puppets and humans living in harmony and helping eachother through tough times. Avenue Q won the Tony Award for Best Muscial in 2004.
